The Borje Salming ALS Foundation aims to raise money for ALS research and to support relatives and sufferers as well as to increase knowledge about the disease. The foundation has started several initiatives to achieve these goals.
Ge tillbaka
Ge tillbaka is an initiative to support relatives and victims. The foundation invites you to a digital and physical meeting where a person connected to the disease talks about their area. During the meeting, there is an opportunity to raise questions and to establish contacts with those who participate.
An Evening for Börje
An evening for Börje is a tribute gala for Börje and an opportunity to meet to share the latest in research and the foundation's work, as well as to meet and mingle with the foundation's board and ambassadors.
Börje act of the year
To remember Börje Salming in the way he was and for what he stood for, the Borje Salming ALS Foundation has instituted the Börje act of the Year award.
The award highlights a person or contribution that in an exemplary way reflects Börje's values: courage, commitment and a genuine desire to make a difference - both in the small and in the big. It's about showing action and humanity, just like Börje did, and inspiring others to contribute to a better world.
With the Börje Act of the Year, we not only want to honor his memory, but also highlight the values and actions that build a stronger community and a warmer society.
